  • Main Course: Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes (either candied or my newest addition of maple cranberry sweet potatoes), corn, gravy, homemade cranberry sauce.

Salad and soup: my moms homemade mushroom soup, cranberry salad, fruit salad, 7 layer salad and my husbands family does a buffet of about 10 different salads.. my favorite is the pretzel one with strawberries and whipped cream.

Pasta: usually for thanks giving we do a lasagna or some penne alla vodka.

we also have trays of nuts and olives and pickles.. the olives are always the first food to go!

Dessert- pumpkin pie, apple pie.. the list goes on and on.. my most popular is my pumpkin cobbler.

  • If we are hosting the meal in our home we have a smoked turkey, a ham, mashed potoatoes with gravy, sweet potoatoes, homestyle green beans, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, a veggie tray, deviled eggs, chicken and dumplings and of course desserts. Pumpkin pie is a must and I usually make banana pudding, chocolate cobbler and whatever the kids want.
