What to clean rectal thermomater? -I don't have rubbing alcohol at the moment.

I don't have rubbing alcohol on hand at the moment. Will warm water and soap be okay? Or is there anything else I can possibly use to fully clean it.

  • Im guessing any antibacterial will work. But remember to really rinse it well. Why are you using a rectal thermometer if you dont mind me asking. I realize they are most accurate but they are very dangerous.

  • Soap and water - and I hope you know that once a thermometer is used rectally it should never ever under any circumstance be used any other way but rectally by the one and only child it's been used rectally for before!
