Difference between a blood test at the doctor's office and a dollar store pregnancy test?

results, time wise and anything else?

  • A blood test is more sensitive and more accurate than a urine test.

  • A blood test detects as low as 5 or 10 hcg i think and urine test is usually 20 and up depending on the test.

  • meaning you don't pee on a stick...you have to use a dropper and place the urine on a little thingy that shows 1 line or 2

  • The different is price and the blood test will tell what your level of HCG is. A pregnancy test just gives a positive or negative result
