  • It's just like colour/color, favourite/favorite, etc - different cultures/countries spell some words different. Get over it.

  • There are a few corret spellings for many words---such as anon mentioned: Color or Colour.
My big gripe us that people can't even come close to spelling correctly or using punctuation....probably don't even know what punctuation means. LOL. ANd the Text words or Ebonics.....OMG.

  • Why can't people use your and you're correctly? Why don't people capitalize God? It's a name.

  • Actually, for some people yoghurt is the correct spelling and yogurt is wrong. I spell it colour, labour, centre, metre, and so many more. Guess what, the US spelling is not always the right spelling for the rest of the world - and since CM is on the WORLD WIDE Web, you're going to run into people who use other spellings.

  • True canadianmom1974. When I lived in the UK it was not that hard to figure out the words on cartons of yoghurt or if it was city centre ( not center ) litre is liter.

Just like there are different dialects in the languages around the world and within the same countries........same goes for spellings of common place words.
