how do i tell te difference between contractions and braxton hicks?

  • All I can say is there will be no doubt in your mind when you have an actual contraction, at least that was my experience.

  • My doctor said that if I could talk through the contraction it was not real, no matter how close and consistant.

  • braxton hicks tend to be in just the top or just the bottom of your uterus but labor contractions tend to be more all-encompassing

  • Dr. said that braxton hicks are usually high up, and make your stomic hard, or mis-shapened. Contractions are lower, and are shaper in pain.
