Are there any people out there that don't celebrate Halloween? If so, why?

  • My parents let us untill I was 4 and my older brother freaked out about all the people dressed up from that day forward no more. But my parents would allow us to dress up at school but we could have no scary costumes and no trick or treating but mom would give us candy.. it kinda sucked growing up but I understand why now, I dont really celebrate it but I want my kids to feel they can dress up but we go to local churches for trunk or treating. my kids arent at the age where they dont understand that most costumes are not real.

  • I dont celebrate Halloween because I am a Christian and there is nothing Christian about Halloween.

  • When I was younger my dad didn't let us celebrate for religious reasons. He grew up as a Jehovah's witness.

  • When I was younger I believe this was the most celebrated holiday but now I'm married and my husband doesn't really want the kids to celebrate it b/c of religious reasons~ BUT I AM STILL TAKING THEM TRIGGER TREATING lol......

  • We grew up not being allowed to participate in Halloween. My mother and her family is JW, and they don't participate in holidays which have Pagan roots or connections, so we didn't either. As an adult it's my favorite day of the year.
