potty training

Any advice on how and when to start potty training a boy? Hes almost 16 months.

  • Try the 3 Day Method!! It doesn't recommend starting until 22 months, but it worked like a charm for our son.

  • Boys take a little longer. Look for signs to make sure your son is ready. Does he tell you when he goes potty? Does he take an interest in the potty? Does he hide when he is going? My 25 mo old is just now starting to show signs that he is ready. He definitley was not ready at 16 mo. Just remember that if you start them too soon it will take longer to potty train them.

  • Mine were ready around 2.5 years old. Google "toilet training readiness" and you'll find good info.
