  • I was going to make chicken-fried steaks, mashed potatoes and gravy, but last night I accidentally set the stove on fire while deep-frying something and now the house smells like a Biodiesel factory so the thought of frying anything else isn't appealing so I have absolutely NO ideas. It may be an Evening Of Creative Leftover Manipulation, which I think I'll be allowing The Husband Person to handle while I take a box of Cheez-Its and my new DVD box set of The Middle into the bedroom and pretend I don't have a posse of yowling knee-biters to wrangle. Hey, he needs the practice and I need the peace and quiet after spending all last night decontaminating the entire kitchen.

  • I was going to do hot turkey sandwiches but it is too warm here today. I may do a grilled chicken salad and some fruit cocktail.

  • Nothing - on of the churches in our town serves a nice dinner every fall and today was the day! We had turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, corn, rolls, and a variety of salads, plus desserts.
