What food should I serve at a Monday night football party?

My dh is putting an open invitation to everybody at work (and s/o) for a Monday night football party at our house. He said some people bring sides but we should put out an entree. I'm thinking we should do sides too. Any ideas?

  • Sloppy joes are easy and inexpensive to feed a crowd. So are burgers, brats, chili, or stew. Our last football party I made a huge pot of 3 bean chili (black, kidney, and cannelini beans) and then set the whole pot on the table with a tray of add-ins (grated cheese, chopped onions, sour cream, crackers, etc). It was easy and everyone loved it.

  • Hoagies.... Buy and assortment of meats( turkey, salami, pastrami, etc), cheeses( provolone, cheddar, swiss, etc), mustards( reg, hot and spicy, dijon), mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, olives, etc.. and let people build their own.

You could also make some jalapeno poppers, a cheese ball, spinach artichoke dip, 7 layer dip, etc. The hot wings are a great suggestion!
