how do I figure out how many calories I need for the day

  • You need to figure out your metabolic rate and then trial and error your way to the correct number based on your activity level. I have a section about it in a post in my group, but it's much too long to fit in 940 characters. It's open to anyone, just scroll down to the sections on "Metabolic Rate" and the one right after for "Ideal Caloric Intake"

  • Figure out your BMR (basal metabolic rate) which is the amount of calories you burn per day without doing anything. Try www.bmrcalculator.org and make sure you scroll down to see how many more calories you can burn with different activity levels.

  • most women need about 2200 that's how much my nutricionist said to eat :) im 5'2 204 lbs just had a baby two weeks ago already lost 23 lbs and that was 1 week ago
