how long is too long for a 2 yr old to have the poopys?

my daughter has been having watery like poop for about 6 days now. on tuesday she was fine all day but at night she had diaherra. same thing on weds. than on thursday it got worse were it was an all day thing. all she had to do was fart and she would poop her pants. this went on until like 3pm saturday she didnt go from than until like 8pm when she went it was the same. now today she is still having the same prob. when i called the doc all they said is its prob normal or could be a side effect from the nasal flu vaccine they gave her. (which i didnt want her to have) they said if she is still like that on monday i need to take her in. this is just stupid why not take her on friday when i called. anyone else have or have had this prob before?

  • it does sound like it might be a side effect from the vaccine, my kids have never been vaccinated so im not really sure what all happens after. i have had an increadible Dr. for my kids that practices alternative medecine and every time my kids got sick with the poopys she always told me to start giving them accidofilus milk and lots of yogurt. having the poops whipes out the good bacteria in their digestive tract and will often make it last a lot longer then it should. the yogurt and milk are both very high in that bacteria and therefor will replenish it and help get them back to normal. this also works wonderfully when they have to take an antibiotic. also be strong about what you want to happen with your daughter, if you dont want her to get a vaccination, speak up and be stern about it. good luck and i hope your daughter is feeling better.

  • well, since the vaccine can give mild flu like symptoms.. then yeah that could be it. Have you tried probiotics?

  • Yogurt...give her yogurt and lots of water to replenish the good bacteria and keep her hydrated. Good luck, mama....

  • We don't vaccinate, but my son has had diarrhea. I just nursed him a lot, made sure he was drinking water and gave him popsicles. The big danger is dehydration. Make sure your little one is getting plenty of fluids.

  • thanks :) when she woke up on monday it was over so no need for the doc. i doc get her the flu shot but when i went in there for her to get it the lady said she can have the nasal mist now and gave it to her before i had a chance to say i would rather her have the shot. i was upset i didnt get a choice and i did report the problem. they said the choice was mine and i should of been told i had one. i get her the flu shot cause its dead flu virus. they only symptom she has got was sore arm. i know the mist is pain free but its gots live flu in it and i know it caused her week long diaherra. im just glad she is better now and thanks again!!
