going out trick or treating Saturday night or actually on Halloween on Sunday? and why is that we never participate in Halloween ON the date anymore?? nowhere where i live is doing anything on Halloween, everything is on Saturday night. i remember being little and it didn't matter if Halloween fell on a school night we wore our costumes to school and went out that night.

  • everything is on saturday here to. but yea i remember when i was little we did it on the day too didnt matter if it was a school day or not. and back then ur parents could drop you off and you walk the whole neighborhood and not have to worry. cant do that now

  • i agree 100% jbond!!! i remember walking the entire neighbor and mom driving the car beside of us and not having to worry about who's house we were at they were all "neighbors". now we only go visit family and maybe a few business

  • Here, it's always on Halloween. The kids are off from Friday to Tuesday also because of Nevada day and some kind of school district organization days.

  • I'm in Los Angeles, and we do it on Halloween......I won't be handing out candy on Saturday...

  • I alwaaaysss thought whatever day Halloween is on thats the day you celebrate it! Parties / Trick or Treating etc. etc.

    You wouldnt celebrate Thanksgiving on the Wed. before?

  • Our town always celebrates Halloween on the day...so ours will be Sunday...and it's only held from 6-8 PM, with a high police presence.
