  • This is the first year we actually carved pumpkins instead of drawing on them or painting them. Big mistake for us to do it this early in this warm climate. They're already collapsing.

  • We bought our pumpkins yesterday and carved them today. Hubs bought a pumpkin carving kit that had different designs in it and 2 of the kids picked designs from that. So hubs and the oldest were busy carving those this afternoon. The middle picked an easy cat design that hubs printed from the computer and he carved his this evening when he came home from his Grandmas.

  • we just did ours today, i let the kids do all of the goop removal and then they pic out a pattern and I carve...thankfully this year they chose pretty easy ones. a scared cat and a scary pumpkin face. last year we had spongebob and patrick...they were really difficult!

  • yes, sort of: we had a kit, that was a ghost wooden cut outs and you stick them in the pumpkin..he's 3 so it worked great.. plus he doesn't like getting dirty so it worked better.

  • We haven't touched pumpkins yet, but if/when we do, it'll probably be with a kit.
