  • Contact your local child protective services agency and ask when the next classes are. In our state, they are free and offered every 3 months. There may be some costs involved in getting your home ready for inspection. There are child-proofing items (plug covers, cabinet locks, etc.), fire extinquishers, smoke alarms, lock boxes (several) for medicines, getting your pets shots up to date, medical exams for you and your spouse, taking CPR/First Aid classes, etc. BTW, none of this has to be done in advance of your classes.
