What kind of cloth diapers should I use?

I am new to cloth diapering and am trying to decide to the best way to go. I don't know if I am going to do prefolds with a cover (and I can't figure out which cover), or the all in ones. I can't pick between fuzzi bunz and bumgenius. Any thought or opinions are greatly appreciated. What did you like the best?

  • I have converted many MANY cloth diapering mamas to Bumgenius! I really wanted to like Fuzzi Bunz when I got them for my son, but they just never fit him correctly no matter what I did. Some people suggested buttoning one leg tighter than the other and said that would help but nothing helped, he always leaked in them no matter what I did. But I ended up using all Bumgenius (one size) for him and LOVED them.

  • prefolds are good but, I like pocket diapers or AIO's. BumGenius one size are the best in my opinion, I just ordered some BumGenius egyptian cotton diapers that i'm pretty excited about. I also like Thirsties for night time. For us, Monkeydoodlez were not a good idea., diapering is a whole world.

  • I had prefolds, but honestly, no matter the fold, they didn't do well at containing the runny poop.

I now use hemp and bamboo fitted diapers, with wool covers. Wool is the best...never any leaks, and all natural!
