AnyOne Know what the Material is, that is injected for a CT scan?

  • Generally speaking, if it is injected, it is iodine; if it is oral or anal, it is barium. There is also a gas, but it's rarely used.

  • a contrast dye. It can actually vary depending on what the ct scan is for. you'd have to ask the doc to be sure which one you are actually going to receive.
