food help?

does anyone know how to make beef jerky without a dehydrator? i don't have one of those things and i love beef jerky and i want to make some at home.

  • Marinate your beef strips and place them on a baking sheet. Bake them on low heat (225 degrees) for several hours, turning them every hour or so, until desired doneness is achieved.

  • Anything you can make in a dehydrator, you can make in a low oven...that's really all a dehydrator is, but on a smaller scale. You'll use more energy to make it, but if you're making a larger quantity, it will even out. For the best texture, you should use a rack with a pan beneath it to catch any drippings. This will ensure even drying. Good luck!
