  • yes pretty much. It kills me sometimes. Especially one of my daughters is so much like her father. I thought getting a divorce i could get away from him but no such luck

  • No, my kids have realized (on their own - no prompting or badmouthing on my part) that their father is distant and uninterested in them. I still try to encourage them to keep him a part of their lives, but as they've said to me: "Why bother? It's not like he returns my calls anyway...."

It breaks my heart. I wish they COULD know their father, but I place the blame for that on his shoulders. I can only do so much to keep in contact. Eventually, he has to step up from his end too.
