Does anyone else find cleaning/vacuuming the house therapeutic?

When I am really stressed out, if I get my vacuum out and vacuum every room, I actually feel better when I'm done! Anyone else?

  • YES! Whenever I get upset, I immediately start cleaning. It gets my negative energy out. Even though I'm seething while I clean, I feel relaxed and accomplished when I'm done.

  • When I was a teenager I would clean my room daily to help relieve stress and what-not. I would rearrange it about once a month just to give myself a new outlook, new piece of mind, etc. Now that I'm a parent I find cleaning to be a burdon, but when I'm really stressed or mad I do tend to clean and it does end up helping. It's just not the first thing I go to anymore.

  • Yes! I really enjoy cleaning and it seems that it gives me more energy to keep moving all the time. I feel like if I were to sit down and not keep moving, I would feel sluggish.
