  • YES!!!

Being sick is a great time to breastfeed, because it gives your baby all the antibodies you are making. Your baby is LESS likely to catch whatever you have if you're breastfeeding than if you are not.

Plus, if they DO get sick, they get lots of cuddle time with mommy to help feel better :)

  • Yes. It's completely ok. Been there and done it. It's not fun when you have to stop and puke, but it's ok for the baby.

  • Yes. Watch yourself for dehydration though, as it's easy to become dehyrdated with a stomach bug, and aside from dehydration affecting your supply, what's more important is to stay hydrated for YOU so you start to feel better. KWIM?

  • Yes, keep nursing, but I do hope you feel better soon.

  • I had a stomach virus when my dd was 3 weeks old and still nursed her. She didn't even get a hint of an upset tummy, but I did get dehydrated (and passed out in the shower!). So drink a TON of fluids. The antibodies in your breastmilk will help protect your LO from catching what you have.
