  • Depending on where you live you have to register to vote at least 30 days prior to an election. You can google your state and 'voter registration' and be able to find all of the info on how, where and when to register in your state.

  • Go to your Town Hall and ask them.

  • In my state, you can fill out your registration online, print it out, sign it, then fax it in/mail it or drop it off. If you have little kids, this might be the best option.
Your board of elections should have a sample ballot online... Good Luck.. Education is the best resource! Kudos to you for taking it serious.

  • Hi TxMom! I'm assuming you're in TX, based on your screen name... QuinnMae is right, you have to register at least 30 days prior to the election date in TX. You print the form online and mail it in. Then the state sends you your voter's registration card in the mail. Check out the Dallas Observer for a list of who is running, which positions are open, and what the position entails. You may have missed the mid-terms this time, but its never too late to get ready for the upcoming BIG election! GL!
