What is the biggest turn off in a marital spat?

Is it when he tells you we need more friends?
You need to get a job?
Or you can do that this way instead of that way.

  • when he tells me you should do it this way instead of that way! I tend to shrug it off though been married too long to really let that bother me!

  • It's the way my husband argues that gets me more then the subject. He can be a dirty fighter and he tends to be a selective listener. Meaning he'll hear one part of something and stick to it regardless if it's relevent to what I actually said or not. And he'll beat it into the ground regardless of how many times I correct him. He's eager to defend rather then listen and it can make the argument spin out of control pretty fast. Generally because he's not ontopic and paying attention, he's just trying to protect his fortress of pride. Rather then deal with the matter like adults.
