Moms with a nanny...

Do you let your nanny roll over any of her unused vacation to the following year?

  • YOU have a nanny? lol I have grandma. :) I do not know but if she is a good nanny you should reward her.

  • Actually my son does have a Nanny...that's what my MIL has her grandkids call her. :p

  • I let her roll it over, but I wouldn't let the "bank" of vacation time go over three weeks. You could also just pay the vacation time that she didn't use back to her, it would be a nice holiday "bonus" if she isn't much of a vacation taker.

  • In response to "SuperrMommyy", we have have a nanny because I'm a full time WOHM. Our nanny does not live with us. And yes, I do the mommy things too.

  • Before I became a mommy I was a nanny, my employer (a private family) always let me carry over unused vacation, they also gave me sick days and paid holidays.

  • I would let her choose.......roll-over the vacation time or be paid for the extra vacation at year end.

  • I was a nanny for 3 years, and I just got vacation when the family took theirs...paid of course.
