Who is the better cook in your family?

My husband is the best chef ever!!! He totally blows me away.

What is your husbands best dish? What's yours?

His: Steak (though everything he makes tastes like 5*)
Mine: Lasagna

  • My husband was a bachelor for 10 years between his first marriage and when we met. He had to learn to cook in the interest of self-preservation. He is an awesome cook, his best dish is his chicken taco casserole, and mine would be my chicken terriyaki.

  • I am and I probably sound conceited, but I'm really not. I love cooking, when I have an appreciative audience, and I like finding new foods and new ways to make old ones. After 20 years, I *FINALLY* found a way to make a "fried" chicken that tastes as good as my great-gramma's but is healthier. However, I SUCK at anything that works with yeast. I don't know if I'm kneading too much, using the wrong flour or rushing the rise, but my breads come out really dense and short and my rolls are always hard as rocks.

My best recipe though is my REAL French toast. It's so labor-intesive and calorie-laden that I ONLY make it for Christmas morning, but my kids light up at the mere mention of it.
