Does anyone else dislike when the Grocery Store greases veggies & fruit?

I just bought cucumbers and apples and they were actually so greasy that I had to use a wipe to clean my hands after I touched them. It really grossed me out. Why do they do that? To look more appetizing? But then when you touch them It's gross! A cucumber is a cucumber no matter if you shine it or not!! You need it, you buy it! LOL!

  • I dislike it tremendously. It grosses me out to pick up produce and have it be slippery or waxy. I grow so much produce in the summer months that I know very well what a pepper, cucumber, or apple is supposed to feel like.

  • The waxing is not done by the grocery store.  It is done to prevent moisture loss during shipping.
