What's a Trick Or Treat no no??

IMO - I say a NO NO is when one gives out pennies and nickles, OR a coupon for a free ice cream cone at Wendy's or McDonalds. Kids don't want that on Halloween. Let's be honest- they want CANDY on this ONE day of the YEAR.

Do you have any TOT NO NOs??? This Q is just for fun by the way...:) :) :)

  • Toothbrushes, pencils, pencil packs, pretzles. Sure, Pretzles are good and Pencils/Toothbrushes are practicle .. But come on. On Halloween? Put thise things in a stocking! Not a halloween basket.

405mom - People can be trusted for the most part. You just have to be smart about Halloween. It is rare, if it has ever happened, that people actually do something to the candy. As well, the number of kids who get kidnapped in this country is a lot smaller then one might think. Though that doesn't negate the point to be careful, it's just to say that you don't have to bubble wrap your kids.

  • Yeah, coupons, toothbrushes, small change, crafts (hand made keychains or potholders)... And any home made food! That's just to dangerous to even take...

  • My kids have always liked what they got. They get enough candy that getting Halloween themed pencils, toys, etc is appreciated.
