Thunderstorms/Severe Weather?

Can you sleep in this kind of weather? I am usually glued to the TV no matter what time of day or night it is-some of my friends are just the opposite...

  • if it is just thunderstorms I am usually ok but if there is a threat of a tornado and usually don't sleep well. Hubby loves storms so if he stays up to watch it I can sleep because I know he will wake me if it gets really bad.

  • I have no problem sleeping no matter. Where I live right now we have tornado warnings until 10 pm and dangerous storms/ high wind warnings until midnite. I will sleep through as much of it as my dogs will let me because they are afraid of thunder and lightening.

  • Sure, no problem... We're supposed to see some really nasty stuff tonight... I can assure you I'm not loosing any sleep.

  • I miss thunderstorms! We don't get them often in CA, and when we do, I enjoy listening and watching.

  • If it is only thunderstorms I can usually sleep hubby will let me know if it gets to bad. Tornados I can't sleep I have to know whether to head for the basement or not as we don't have sleeping accomodations down stairs

  • I don't like the thunder but the only time I stay up and keep track is when there is a Tornado warning.

  • Nope, can't sleep with it. We're in the wind warning area but not having rain and I couldn't sleep last night (we DID have some rain last night but nothing severe) and I won't sleep tonight - not staying up watching radar or anything, but laying in bed just not being able to sleep.
