  • Red and white striped tablecloths? Cat in the Hat hats? Bring a Dr. Suess book wishing well (but you might end up with 15 Cat in the Hats) Dr. Seuss paper plates.

  • You could put little glass bowls with goldfish in them as center peices for tables!

  • Baby shower invitations:
Create your own Dr. Seuss invitations inspired by your favorite character. Otherwise, then head off to your local party store, where Dr. Seuss invitations are readily available.

    Decorations:
Find your old Dr. Seuss books and put them on display! Consider taking your old books to a copy store to make enlarged color copies from your favorite stories. Then display these "posters" on your walls.

    Games and prizes:
Have a "Dr. Seuss Party Hat" game, where guests are to create their own unique hats. Supply guests with basic party hats, glitter, tissue paper, sequins, ribbon, feathers and other craft supplies. When finished, judge the hats.

    Menu:
Other than the obvious (and not so appetizing!) Green Eggs and Ham, create a "Cat in the Hat" cake. A bakery would be able to specially make this cute cake.

    Party favors:
•For kids, give Dr. Seuss party favors (readily available

  • Party favors:

•For kids, give Dr. Seuss party favors (readily available in party supply stores)
•Give adults peppermint foot scrub or socks (inspired by "The Foot Book")
•Also for adults- spa, movie or coffee gift certificates (inspired by "Oh the Places You'll Go.")

  • Great ideas everyone :) Also when it comes to the food part. You could make or buy a cake with the Dr. Suess theme. Chips, dip, salsa, Vegetable or fruit tray, little sandwiches, and you could always make some punch for the shower. Good luck

  • What about making the cake in the shape of green eggs and ham. Maybe play a game where each guest has to guess who they are.

  • wow, what a lot of great ideas!

you could buy a copy of "Are You My Mother?" and have everyone in attendance write something sweet in it, to the mom or the baby. and give all the regular baby shower foods silly Seuss-like names. or play Dr Seuss charades...i can just envision someone trying to act out "wocket in my pocket"!
