  • I might offer to bring a dessert, bread, beverage, or something else. I wouldn't normally bring a gift though.

  • i always ask if i can bring something to contribute. i am always crafting something, so i usually have a new project to bring, anyway. what i bring depends on who it is, and what i know they like, whether its wine, or dessert, or my jewelry, or flowers for the garden.
i love it when i get invited to someone's house who is just a beer drinker..its the cheapest host/hostess' gift you could bring!

  • If they are friends that you get together with all the time then no hostess gift. But I usually take something that we eat as snacks or dessert just depends. If it is a friend that I see once in a while then yes, I take a hostess gift. Usually a plant that they like.

  • Yes, I usually ask if I can bring anything, if they say no, I always bring wine and if I have something in my "gift stash" I might bring the hostess something like a picture frame or something small for her.
