Should I tip?

My MIL is giving us my FILs piano, and having it delivered to us today. She hired a piano moving company and is paying for the move. Should I tip the movers? I have no idea whether it's customary to tip movers or not. Help!

  • Honestly, I would. Moving stuff is not easy. To be honest, yes they are being paid to move it, but I still think a tip would be customary. Look at it this way, you tip someone if they bring a pizza to your house, so why not a piano.

  • I would think you would, I don't think tip is included, but i would call the moving company and find out. If it is included, i would still give them a few bucks for lunch if I had the money.

  • Anytime someone performs a service for you it's never a bad thing to tip. Even when a tip is not required. Since you are not paying for the move it would be an even nicer gesture.
