  • Neither. Lots of veggies, minimize (but don't eliminate) carbs and fat intake, cut out or cut back on sugary sweets, take 3 10 minute walks a day or incorporate an exercise program into your week. Fad diets do not work over the long run, make your whole lifestyle a healthy one and it will.. just as an example- if the Atkins diet worked so well, why does Orionsgirl think about doing it again?

  • South Beach isn't too bad. Atkins is like begging for heartburn and constipation. But watching portion sizes and making healthy choices is what I can live with permanently.

  • I did Atkins for a couple of months about 5 years ago. I lost about 15 pounds, but it wasn't for me. Haven't tried dieting since. I just keep an eye on what my family and I eat.

  • Atkins is very need carbs to live. as soon as you go off Atkins you'll gain the weight back b/c your body will store all the carbs in case you starve yourself of them again.

    just eat smaller portions of healthy foods and eat more often thru out the day...fad diets dont work and/or arent worth it.
