Fortunately, iron rich foods like lentils and chickpeas are very inexpensive. You can find a listing of iron rich foods here: http://www.soystache.com/iron Be sure to include a vitamin C source with the iron source; C increases the absorption of the iron. Also, cut way back on, or eliminate dairy, as this leaches iron.
