Stretching and strengthening of the back will do wonders. Do any kind of "core" training that will both strengthen the back and abs. Also yoga and pilates may help as well. Definitely go see a Doctor first to make sure your back pain won't be exacerbated by doing those exercises.

I went to physical therapy for my back issues. the stretching exercises do work. And pain meds.

Hot shower & anti inflammatories.... also watch physical activity until the pain goes away
