How do you turn down someone who asks you out?

I don't want to hurt his feelings and he's nice but not someone that I'm interested in.

  • I would just tell him you just don't have the time right now that you have alot going on. At least that way it wouldn't come off to him that you didn't at all consider it.

  • Just tell him that, honesty is the best policy.
Or go out and make it very clear it is just as frends, if he is that nice.

  • Well, I'm married, but if I were asked I'd just say, "sorry, but no thank you." If they get rude, then that's their problem. I know it's not the same thing, but I've been out with friends for a bachelorette party & been asked to dance and the guys got really ugly when I said, "no thank you." Some people don't respond well to honesty, but it's better than saying, "yeah I'll call you" knowing you're not going to, IMO!

  • Honesty is always the best policy. Just tell him that you are not interested and don't want to waste his time or yours.

  • Tell him that you are not ready to date if you are not seeing someone already. If you go out with him and are not interested then you are sending him mixed messages if you tell him on a date.
