I have had kidney stones for 3 1/2 years now and have had 5 Lithotripsies and 9 ureteroscopy surgeries. I still have some stonees in the base of my kidney that I can't pass thanks to gravity. My urologist refered me to a specialist. I may need a surgery where they put a tube in your back and irrigate the kidney. I don't know the details of the procedure or what it is called, but the idea scares me. Has anyone ever had it done? I would like to learn as much as I can. I go for my consult at the end of December and would love to be prepared for what I am going to hear. Thanks so much.
