  • You're eating way too few calories per day. There is no way you should be eating fewer than 1600 because otherwise your body goes into starvation mode and you won't lose weight. Just be sure to fill that 1600 calories with good food rather than junk.

  • I think it depends on how much of that 1200 calories is fat grams and what your genetic make up is for weight loss. Drink lots and lots of water at least 8oz before each meal. Spread your calories to 6 smaller meals threw out the day. Eat lots of fiber as this fills you up :)

  • Think of your body as a car.If you buy the cheap gas, yeah it'll run fine for a lil while then crap out and leave you stranded on a dark stretch of highway. So buy the good gas (groceries).
Also, get a good night's rest and eat breakfast (it's like warming your car up on a cold day, gives it a chance to prepare and get everything running like your metabolisim)
Don't be afraid to snack all day, little debbie's are not a snack they are chemicals made to taste like cake (but so yummy) eat nuts or fruit even a hunk of french bread and a piece of cheese counts as a good snack. I know we have all been convinced that if we don't eat our bosy will start to eat away the fat...wrong if we don't eat our body starts shutting things down to conserve energy (like your metabolisim) . So give it snacks to keep to motivated. Now that you have your tummy working with you stay active. Check out myfitnesspal.com

  • Go to www.caloriesperhour.com. It has a calculator that will show you how much you will lose within a certain period of time, and it shows you how many calories you need to eat and burn in order to lose a certain ammount.

  • I put in your info at www.bmrcalculator.org, it gives you your BMR (basal metabolic rate) which is the amount of calories you burn per day doing nothing at all. With heavy exercise 6-7 times per week it says you burn 2627 calories per day. (Of course this is just an estimate, but it is a great place to start.) First thing you have to know is that 3500 calories equals 1 pound of fat. So if you are taking in 1200 calories per day then subtract that from 2627 and you end up with a calorie deficit of 1427 per day. Times that by 7 days in a week and you get 9989 calories burned for the week. Divide that number by 3500 calories and you end up with 2.854 pounds lost for that week. However, I would take the above advice because when our bodies don't get enough calories it goes into starvation mode and our metabolism slows down making it harder to burn calories. Hope this helps:)

  • You need to eat more calories, but with exercising and drinking plenty of water and getting good sleep you could lose a couple of pounds a week typically. It really all depends on your metabolism and eating properly for how much exercise you are getting each day.

  • OP, you could lose a lot of weight. Initially. Then your body will go into starvation mode and plateau. You'll wind up gaining all the weight back and then some. Losing more than 1-2 pounds per week isn't healthy and, it's almost a sure fire way to guarantee you gain what you lost, plus, back.

    Just food for thought.

  • You should not be dieting if you are pregnant. Just eat healthy and don't eat processed foods.
