  • My son really liked this table from Chicco (pronounced Key-co):

    Chicco Music Activity Table

also, I think puzzles are a good choice if they are 12 months+

  • Anything with lights and buttons. Mini kitchen set? I saw one at Toys R' Us, it had a microwave that beeped, and lit up, so cool! Tiny little thing, for 30 bucks! Also, any push or riding toys? Dora the Explorer ride/push toy, $34 at Target. Happy 1st birthday little one!

  • Anything my daughter could ride on or push were favorites at that age- she just turned two and is actually still playing with several things she got a year ago. She loves the vacuum she has that makes noise when she pushes it (and likes to help me when I vacuum by running hers into mine), she has a doll stroller that she loves and also a little plastic shopping cart that she pushes around. She got a car that she can sit on and it has a little horn and plays music and that has been a big hit, too.

  • my son just turned one. he got jammies with feet. because he will need them for winter. he got books with big pictures, letters, numbers, colors and all that. he also got a baby piano from little tikes. it lights up and has different songs it plays. i think toys that light up and make sounds are good for one year olds.
