  • There is no set time. Some women will get it 6 weeks post partum, some women get it 8 weeks post partum, and some moms won't get it for a year. Breastfeeding is a major factor in when it returns. But if you are a breastfeeding mom, don't use that as birth control - even if you don't get a period you will still ovulate and can still get pregnant at any time.

  • Well, I BF until 11 months and didnt get mine back until 13 months after, but it depends on a lot of things. If you are BF usually its longer.

  • I breastfed, and had my first period about two months after my daughter was born.

Remember, you will ovulate, and be fertile, before you get your first postpartum period

  • Every woman is different. Some women get it right away, some women take months, even a year to get their period. Breastfeeding can affect it, but not always. I exclusively breastfed, and mine returned after 4 weeks (2-3 days after my lochia had finally stopped!).
