Like cabinets, and drawers and wipe walls?

  • Every room gets cleaned in our house every day (as in a general straightening, removing things that don't belong, cleaning any messes that happen, handprints on windows, maybe light dusting), but every day of the week I focus on a different room or two and they get deep cleaned that day. I can't stand dirty walls and spots that get filthy around door knobs and light switches from frequent touching. With eight young children, it is an absolute necessity to clean that much, because it looks like we haven't cleaned in a month if we skip one day. I'm not joking. Oh, the kitchen pretty much gets deeply cleaned every night, the last thing I do. Again, that is a necessity.

  • I agree. Ideally I would do this once a month, but its been about three months since I moved and I have only done it twice..

  • Not as often as I would like it done. In a perfect world that should be done probably every 3 months, depending on how many people live in the house, if you keep your windows open, etc. But in my imperfect world, deep cleaning doesn't get done that often.

  • I do a little bit each day--in my travels...a little dusting, wiping, straightening/tidying as I go through the house each day, making the need to do a deep cleaning rare. However, I am still sure to do a "thorough" check before company comes over! :o)
