  • Be a parent? Do parenting. You don't. let your DH do the parenting. Just be their if the kids need you.

  • Just do the best you can. Care for them like you care for your SO and the rest should come naturally.

  • If you married this man by now you should have some experience with the child. Just take it slow and be supportive (of your hubby and the child), most of the major parenting should be done by the actual parents. The more time you spend as a family the more naturally it will come- good luck!!

  • just listen, and use eye contact, you dont even have to offer advice. Do little things to show you care, such as you would with a friend or co worker.
    Most of the time if you are paying attention, they will come to you and then use that moment to listen.

  • you follow the kids lead and if they need you you help if not then you let dad be the parent
