Is this true? Not sure so I am asking.

I was told if I get a laptop, I could connect my cell to the laptop by USB cord, and use my internet connection from my phone, to use the internet on the laptop. Is this true?

  • I believe it's called tethering. I know you can with certain phones through AT&T...for a fee of course!

  • Only with certain phones, and I think you may have to have a plan for it but I'm not sure.

  • I have a blackberry with verizon and that is how we have internet on the laptop and the home/desk computer. We pay an extra 30 dollars a month and I just plug it in with a USB cord and sign on. It is easy and great considering we live in the middle of no where and can't get cable or fios and satalite is slower than my cell phone conection.
