carving pumpkin before hand.. will it go bad ?

im going to be busy all day saturday and then probably on sunday too. since Halloween in sunday night so i probably wont get time to carve it over the weekend. can i do it tomorrow (friday)? will it go bad? (brownish-like, how fruits change when put outside for long) or should i store it in the fridge after carving it ? it so big, im not sure if it will even fit in there ! :-s

  • It will be fine for two days, but you MUST keep it cold. Outside here is cold enough, but in the house it would start to curl up, then rot and get mold on it in a few days. If it won't fit in your fridge ad outside is not too cold, then maybe your basement or garage is cooler than the house??

  • I think it will be fine we always do ours a few days early. I think there is something you can soak it in to "preserve" it longer maybe lemon juice? Not sure maybe one of the other ladies knows. But either way I think it should be fine.
