  • If you want to make it a project, how about homemade invidual pizzas? Each child can stretch their own dough, add sauce & toppings. You can make them w/o cheese or with a cheese substitute.

A peanut butter & jam party would be fun, too, if you have several varieties of jams on hand. You can use pancakes or waffles as well as regular bread for the sandwiches.

If they like their greens, how about a salad bar? Mixed greens & veggies with homemade dressing.

If you have the ingredients, you could make hummus together & then scoop it up with pitas & add veggies to make sandwiches.

  • if you want to make it something fun for halloween you could gut a pumpkin together...make a pot of spaghetti..put the spaghetti in the pumpkin (don't let the kids see) and then serve it out of the pumpkin...You could even use food color and color the noodles green or something

  • Crescent Mummy Dogs
Hot dogs are all wrapped up in a classic recipe for Halloween.

1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations® refrigerated seamless dough sheet
    10 large hot dogs
    Cooking spray
    Mustard or ketchup, if desired

    Heat oven to 375°F.
If using crescent rolls: Unroll dough; separate at perforations, creating 4 rectangles. Press perforations to seal. If using dough sheet: Unroll dough; cut into 4 rectangles.
With knife or kitchen scissors, cut each rectangle lengthwise into 10 pieces, making a total of 40 pieces of dough. Slice cheese slices into quarters (1/2 slice cheese, cut in half).
Wrap 4 pieces of dough around each hot dog and 1/4 slice of cheese to look like "bandages," stretching dough slightly to completely cover hot dog. About 1/2 inch from one end of each hot dog, separate "bandages" so hot dog shows through for "face."
