  • I usually chill the dough first. Then I put down wax paper on the table, flour over it, then my dough. On top of that, sprinkle more flour, and then place another sheet of waxed paper. Roll over the waxed paper, then peel it off of the dough with ease, and cut your cookies. It works nicely for those really sticky doughs! :-)

  • Chances are your dough is too sticky. Have you tried chilling it first? And yes, you will want to make sure that your rolling pin is floured very well.

  • did you flour your rolling pin and put some flour on top of the dough?

chilled well helps too, when it gets warm (or even a little less chilled) it'll stick worse.

  • Are you sure that the recipe you are using is made to be rolled out or is it for drop sugar cookies? Usually if the dough is meant to be rolled out it has less wet ingredients in it.
