Obama called the coordinated attacks a "credible terrorist threat". So I guess we're allowed to use the "T" word again. So strange that so many innocent lives were saved just before the elections. What a hero.

    Just glad it was found.

  • I heard about this earlier on our news, that some were found on UPS flights bound for O'hare airport in Chicago. I am so thankful that at least the ones we've found so far, had no opportunity to go off. Its too bad I'm sure we won't be able to trace who sent the packages. Does anyone know if they scan packages before they are boarded on a plane? How did these packages even make it aboard? Sure hope Obama is ready for something like this because looks like terrorists are after us whether we like it or not...and now is not the time for "peace talks."

  • " the very word ‘terrorism’ has been banned by the Obama administration and replaced by the phrase ‘man caused disasters’."

  • They were sent on international flights, cargo is not scanned on those flights. There were at least 6 packages and places they had to check. They think it's a dry run for the terrorists. There is still no all clear in Philly. The President was alerted last night to the threats but the planes were still allowed to land, even tho they originated in Yemen. They have some good leads on the terrorists that may be involved. Synagouges were warned as some packages were addressed to them.

  • It's been on the news for about 2 hours now. They are talking about the need for cargo aircraft to be searched and scanned now.

  • If you can, turn on your TV to the news, it's all over the place. Now a plane from Dubai that is carrying a package from Yeman is being escorted by military fighters to JFK airport. Dubai is now saying there is an explosive device on that plane. This is just this minute being reported by the AP.
