Charle horses and cramps in my foot....

evertime i curl my foot forward i get a charle horse... and everytime i curl my toes my foot cramps... last night i had a foot cramp so bad i stood up to releve it and also needed to go potty well 1st step i took on the foot i fell down... i am ok i just dont really know why i fell... i go to phyisical therapy tomorrow but what can i do to prevent these cramps???
I am 26 weeks along

  • have you tried taking potassium supplements? I had that problem before and that helped immensely.

  • Agreed to more water, but also get prenatal massage,focused on the feet & eat bananas.

  • bananas! seriously helped my RLS and leg cramps. I would eat 2 bananas a day.

  • water water water and over all, fresh vine ripened fruits - your body is lacking vitamins and minerals when your muscles cramp - vine ripened fruit carry the vitamins and mienrals you need

  • I did the same thing when I was pregnant last time... Am only 4 1/2 months now so not yet, but... With him, I would get them every time i curled my toes or straightened my foot, there is really nothing you can do because your nerves and muscles are a little crazy when you're pregnant... Just gotta tough it out really... It really does suck though, been there and probably will be again soon... I have the cramps in my hips too... Do you get these? They suck worse then the feet...

  • More WATER WATER WATER.... also are you having a girl??? I had these horrible with my first pregnancy which was a girl never ever had em with my two boys and now that im having a girl again i have them terrible, i thought that was kinda odd!!! But yea i would deffinatly increase your water intake it does help alot!!
