What can I use for soup instead of diced tomatoes?

I don't like whole tomatoes or anything close to it what can I use for soup instead of diced tomatoes? I was thiking puree for that tomato flavor but not looking for chunks thank you.

  • Yeah tomato paste or sauce, or you could blend the tomatoes or tomato dices.

  • I use crushed tomatoes. They are not chunky. I have also used tomato sauce.

    What kind of soup are you making?

  • it's called venus demilo soup it's a resturant in my hometown and it's perfect for chilly weather

  • Tomato juice and V-8 leave a weird scum pinkish/red scum at the top of the pot. UCK!
