3 Bumps

I had my daughter two weeks ago. I'm bleeding, obviously, and it has a really bad odor. is there anything that i can do to make it go away? i'm afraid that others can smell it, too.

  • Call your doctor! Bad smell is probably an infection which is not something to mess around with!

  • you have to use large very large, pads and change them often. also get wet-wipes that are antibacterial and use them often after you use toilet in any way. also, use pure cornstarch or close to it on your area down there and inbetween legs vulva as that will absorb moisture. wear cotton panties OR tight ones thathold your pad in. dont worry maybe people can but i am sure its not as bad as you think, it is natuiral. just shower often or sponge-bathe especially your area. you can use a body spray in a GREAT cool fragrance on the rest of you if you are concerned of odor or scent. go to dollar store OR bath n body works!!

  • Stay away from cornstarch as it will cause yeast infections. But it there is an odor beyond the smell of blood, then it's likely you have an infection. Best to see you doctor. Did you have a c-section or vaginal birth? If you had a c-section please call your doctor now without delay. If you had a vaginal birth, call your doctor anyway. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

  • See your doctor. A bad odor probably means bacteria. You don't want an infection now...see your doctor. :-)
