Professional Photography for the Mariott Hotel- what is an appropriot price to charge?

My husband was just signed on as one of Mariott's offical photographers. They want him to take inside/outside photos of the entire hotel during a span of 3+- hours. (Night/day pictures of the outside)

Basic photoshop will be used to fix any blemishes of the hotel/editing. What is an appropriot price to charge?

  • I have a degree in Photography (not using it). But, I wanted to go into architecture photography, which would be an umbrella term for what your husband is doing. Most Photographers would charge $1600 a day, plus extra for rights to the photographs. Say they wanted them for ads, he would charge them $300 for each picture to be used for one year (or forever). It will take longer than 3 hours hoping the weather cooperates. This price might be low or high...not sure how professional he is. Just keep in mind wedding photographers get paid $2000+ for a day, so your husband should be paid close to that as well.

Does he need an assistant?? :)

  • He needs to find out the going rate in your rate, it realy varies. He wouldn't want to charge so much that they don't hire him or so low that he's not making what her should.
