  • Is your pediatrician worried about his size? If not, then I wouldn't be either. My daughter is 5 and has always been a head taller than other kids her age, which of course makes her weigh more than the average kid. My doctor has always told me, as long as her height and weight stay in proportion (which they always have) it's nothing to worry about.

  • Some children are just bigger than others...

  • Make certain you check the weight limits on his carseat.
And if you are concerned that he is too big or is gaining weight too fast, check with his doctor.

  • My son was 11lbs at birth... and 17lbs at 3 1/2 months old. Some babies are just bigger than others. It doesn't mean they're unhealthy.

  • Hey my son is around the 20lbs mark and he is just a little over 5 months. He eats like a champ and as far as i know there is no need to worry about baby fat until they are a LOT older.
